🍿TAKE ONE: NOVICE PROGRAM
Our Novice Program is year-round and introduces beginners to the sport of artistic swimming. It focuses on foundational water skills, sculling, and basic choreography. The curriculum emphasizes building cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and teamwork in a fun, non-intimidating environment. They will compete in entry-level local meets and perform in our end-of-year water show.
Practices: Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings
Location: Mt. Miguel High School
Requirements: Must be at least 5 years of age.
While no prior artistic swimming experience is required, swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted (front flutter, back flutter, freestyle, and backstroke) and be comfortable swimming underwater. Our focus is on teaching artistic swimming techniques rather than basic swimming lessons.

Why The Name Change?
In line with the sport’s international federation, International Swimming Federation (FINA) Congress, the sport of synchronized swimming was re-branded "artistic swimming" as of 2017 to better reflect the sport’s creative, expressive nature and to align it with other judged aesthetic sports like rhythmic gymnastics or figure skating.
USA Synchro has been changed to USA Artistic Swimming as of 2020.
