Synchronized Swimming became an Olympic sport in 1984.
The sport was re-branded Artistic Swimming in March 2020.

The San Diego Sea Stars, a member of the USA Artistic Swimming (USAAS), is a year-round artistic swim team that competes in local, regional, and national competitions.
OUR GOAL for our San Diego Synchronized Swim Team is to develop coaches and athletes in the sport of artistic swimming through sportsmanship, teamwork, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence.
OUR VISION is to establish our team not only for our current swimmers, but for swimmers and coaches for many years to come.

This is our introductory program to artistic swimming. This program focuses on basic skill building and a way for you and your swimmer to get a feel for the team dynamics before committing to a competition season.
(Year-Round; 1 day a week - Saturdays; no competitions)
Are you a natural performer and ready to dive right in?
We have a variety of competitive programs ranging from novice, intermediate, and age group.
Group selection depends on the athlete's age and swim skill level.
(Year-Round; 2-3 times a week; competitions may vary)

A "Master" is simply anyone over the age of 19, no matter your skill level.
Our Master Program is year-round, 2-3 times a week, recreational or competitive.
